I am not in favor of a toll on the Sakonnet River Bridge or the Governor’s proposal to transfer control of the Sakonnet River Bridge to the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority.  This bridge is a commuter bridge and connects Tiverton and Little Compton to the rest of Rhode Island.  Having a toll on this bridge would impact the East Bay communities both economically and environmentally. Not only would it severely hurt business, but it would put a huge financial burden on residents, many of whom are already struggling.  It is not too late! I am asking you to please speak out against this now!
